published daily, serves Paris and
the surrounding area with a paid
circulation of approximately 8,300.
Daily metropolitan papers are
received from Memphis and Nashville.
Television
Cable television in Paris is
provided by Charter Communications.
Paris receives the following
broadcast networks: from Nashville
WKRN (ABC), WSMV (NBC), WTVF (CBS),
WZTV (FOX), WNAB (WB); from Jackson
WBBJ (ABC), WJKT (FOX); from
Lexington WLJT (PBS); from Paducah,
KY WPSD (NBC); and from Murray, KY
WKMU (PBS).
In addition to broadcast stations
over 65 channels are offered on
their Expanded Basic level of
service and over 60 channels on
digital packages. The Digital
Service also includes access to PPV
movies and events plus 47 digital
music channels. Premium services are
offered in multi-plexes from HBO,
Cinemax, Showtime, The Movie Channel
and Starz. Charter Communications
also offers High Speed Internet
Service through their cable lines
with packages from 3 meg up to 10
meg download speed.
Radio
WENK, WWKF, WTPR, WTPR-FM, WAKQ,
WMUF, WLZK, WHDM are located in
Paris providing local news,
entertainment and information. There
is also excellent reception from
nearby Murray, Kentucky, McKenzie
and Camden, Tennessee, and most
Jackson, Tennessee stations.
