Allegro Fine Foods Inc. Expansion |
Allegro Fine Foods Inc. is pleased
to announce a major expansion to its
production and warehousing
operations. Construction will begin
in 2010 on a 30,000 square foot
plant next to the current
manufacturing facility on the Hwy
218 Bypass. The additional space
will add a third production line to
existing production capabilities.
This additional capacity will
service current customers as well as
allow Allegro the ability to grow
into new areas of business.
Allegro has been in business in
Henry County since 1978 and is one
of the nation’s leaders in the sales
and manufacturing of marinades,
barbecue sauces, cooking wines and
vinegars, and liquid smokes.
Allegro moved to its current
location five years ago with the
plan to expand and diversify its
core business. That plan has
exceeded expectations and now,
according to President John Fuqua,
"requires expansion to satisfy the
demand for the quality food products
we manufacture."
New construction should begin in
February 2010, with a completion
date expected in late April. The
expansion should generate 30 new
jobs and will require a capital
investment of approximately $1
million. Allegro will begin
accepting applications for the new
production positions March 1, 2010.
Fuqua went on to state, "This
expansion is made possible by the
assistance of our state and local
officials, including the Economic
Development Board, the Mayor’s
office, the BPU, TVA, and RDA, as
well as our local bank relationship,
Foundation Bank, a division of
McKenzie Banking Company. These
organizations are assisting us with
a plan and financial package to make
this expansion possible." |
